Fayette Local School(FLS) is closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) and the government regulations for schools. FLS is committed to following all guidance from local, state, and federal health experts for K-12 schools in its response to COVID-19. In an effort to keep school and community informed, FLS has released the following information to the public.
FLS will be sharing additional updates or modifications to our school website as more information becomes available. We are continuing to work with faculty and staff and our district will provide additional guidance in the coming days. This will be an evolving process and FLS asks for everyone’s patience.
Finally, FLS wants to thank the individuals in our community who are working hard to keep us safe and control the spread of this virus. This is a time for our community to come together and FLS is confident in our ability to navigate through this unique situation.

Any Fayette Student can recieve free meals.Starting April 20th meals for the week will be delivered on Mondays.
Charter(Spectrum)
Charter will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription and at any service level up to 100 Mbps.
To enroll call 1-844-488-8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households.
- Spectrum does not have data caps or hidden fees.
- When you dial in you will select the option for new account or new sales state that you are applying for the free 60 day internet.
- Spectrum will set up a time to install the equipment and set up service.
- At the end of 60 days you may cancel the service or you may continue with spectrum. Charter will continue to offer Spectrum Internet Assist, high speed broadband program to eligible low-income households delivering speeds of 30 Mbps.
- Spectrum will deny free service if there is a past due bill.
School Closing
Due to current government regulations, FLS will be closed Monday March 16, thru April 3, 2020. During this time the FLS building will be closed to staff/students and the public.
Sanitizing School
FLS will follow the guidance from local and state health officials in its response to the COVID-19.
FLS After School Events & Athletic Events
Today the Ohio High School Athletic Association suspended interscholastic athletics beginning Friday, March 13, at 11:59 PM. After careful consideration, FLS has opted to cancel all athletic events and practices beginning Thursday afternoon until further notice. Additionally, until further notice all FLS after school events and activities are canceled.
District-Wide Events
Until further notice, all district-wide events will be closed to the staff/students and public to help prevent the spread of contact with individuals.
Field Trips/Competitions/Professional Staff Travel
All travel for student field trips, student competitions, and staff professional travel for conferences or trainings is under review at this time.
